The large team is divided up into smaller teams and sent out to areas where dental care is less accessible. Dental clinics are often held in government health clinics in the more rural areas of the parish, but may also be held in a church. Each dental team has 1–2 dentists, 1 dental hygienist if available, 1–2 dental assistants and 2–3 general helpers. Autoclaves and sterilizing equipment are brought along if not in a government health clinic. Clinics usually start at 9:00 a.m. and finish around 4:00 p.m. We always start with devotions, prayer, and singing before we get to work.
